Communities of Opportunity in the Chicago Region
In 2005, the Kirwan Institute collaborated with the Leadership Council for Metropolitan Open Communities and the Institute of Race & Poverty, to conduct a region-wide opportunity mapping analysis for Chicago. The opportunity mapping report was utilized to influence public policy and to aid housing voucher holders looking for affordable housing in high opportunity communities.
