Philip joined the staff in October 2008 as Assistant Editor, and performs various writing and editing tasks for the Institute. He received his B.A. in Comparative Studies and English from The Ohio State University. Prior to working at the Kirwan Institute, Philip worked as a research assistant for Professor Nina Berman, PhD, with the Department of Comparative Studies and as a freelance writer/editor/researcher for various scholarly projects. In the future, he plans to pursue a PhD in Social Thought and Critical Theory.
Research Interests: Literary Theory; Identity Politics; Nationalism; Popular Culture.
