Jen Washco is a 2nd-year City & Regional Planning PhD student. She holds an undergraduate degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering and a Master's in City and Regional Planning from Ohio State University. Her interests focus around housing, specifically housing finance & policy, housing equity, and issues affecting renters. She has worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the First Year Engineering Program at Ohio State University from 2006 to 2009. Jen participated in the Autumn 2006 Rebuilding the Mississippi Gulf Coast Studio in City & Regional Planning, which won the Outstanding Student Project award from the Small Town and Rural division of the American Planning Association in 2007.
