Christy is a research associate for the Kirwan Institute, focusing on neighborhood revitalization and housing policy issues. She has co-authored many Kirwan Institute reports, including “Communities of Opportunity: A Framework for a More Equitable and Sustainable Future for All,” and writes on fair housing litigation for the Kirwan Institute UPDate. She has conducted, transcribed and analyzed numerous in-person and telephone interviews for several recent Kirwan projects. She has presented to the Ohio Planning Conference; the Race, Ethnicity and Place Conference; and the Association of American Geographers. Prior to joining Kirwan, she worked in municipal planning and in land-use and construction litigation support. Christy is currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Geography at The Ohio State University. She has undergraduate and graduate degrees in English from Carleton College and Ohio University, respectively, and a professional degree in Landscape Architecture (MLA) from the Harvard Design School.
